Solfrid Heier is born and raised in Oslo and has a versatile background and a broad experience working with theaters. She startet out seventeen years old at Oslo Nye Teater in the musical «Dikter i ulvepels» and have worked more then fourty years at most of the theaters in Oslo, including Riksteatret through eight years, Trøndelag Teater, Teater Ibsen and Stockholms Stadsteater.
Solfrid had her break thru in the movie «Skjær i Sjøen» 1965. A story about the young girl”Lone” who falls in love with an older more mature man played by Henki Kolstad. The movie was a huge success and have been aired through numerous tv channels until present time. Since followed seven album recordings, tours and tv appearances in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Poland and Germany under the artistname «Winnie», further roles in movies, appearences in tv shows, artist performances and the role as the singer in Kjell Karlsens orchestra and Terje Fjerns orchestra both being the two most popular bands at that time with tours in both Norway and Sweden.
At the seventies she went back to the theaters with shows and roles in musicals like “The Cabaret” as Sally Bowles etc, and plays of a more serious character. At the eighties she educated further within the proffesion and dramaturgy,manuscript and project devellopment. Also involvment in a series of workshops and drama lectures at Det Åpne Teater.
From 1989 to 1997 she was involved in several of the big plays at Chateau Neuf such as Nikie in «Sweet Charity», a great role involving her singing and dansing skills, «Out of order» wich was later made into a movie. Others was «Shut your eyes and think of norway», «Charleys Aunt» etc, another play wich was turned into a movie. Solfrid was also the host for the network TV Norge in a six part show called «Lifestyle» dealing with current trends.
THE ALCHEMIST
The idea of a one-woman performanc had been in mind for a long time, and when she read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho she know she had found the right text. She wrote a script based on the book during the summer 97 and by 98 she started collabrating with Det Åpne Teater for script devellopment and preproduction. Pål Øverland (director) and Yngve Horn (directing and choreography) was contacted. Working all together the final script was realised and a test play happened spring 98.
The premiere happened 12. November the same year at Det Åpne Teater and was a huge success with 21 sold out shows. The play have later been performed at several other theaters and had later a second preimere at Christiania Theater in Oslo 25. September 07. Again a great success with eight extra shows.
«HIGHLIGHTS” FROM THE ALCHEMIST»
At «Pilgrimskonferansen» in Trondheim 9. May 08 the Kirke og Kulturdepartementet orded a twenty minuttes special version of The Alchemist. The result was a trimmed down version called Highligts from The Alchemist with the same music and a more simple lightdesign.
MOVIES AND TV
Solfrid have been involved with 11 norwegian movies, participated in a series of tv shows, series and comedies throughout the years with some of the nations most known actors as the cast. There have also been comercials, song and voice-over for a series of animated series, dubbed six books for the association for blind people, involvment with the radio theater, comercialspots and voice-over for radio and comercials. She has also written texts for cabarets and a series of poems to Eva Andersens paintings.
OTHER:
Been singing with Anne Brown, Oscar Raaum and Rigmor Tarøy – still her present vocal coach. Also – theatersport, clown-course and phantomime.
INTERESTS:
The last decade been training: Tai Chi, Gigong and golf for ten years.
